My name is Mia Hyde and I am the District Reading Specialist for Greeneville City Schools.  It is my sincerest belief that all students can learn to read and write at a successful level.  Some students require more encouragement, insightful strategies, and support along the way.   It is my job as the district reading specialist to provide professional learning, resources and support to classroom teachers, so that they can help all students achieve reading success.  This is my 17^th year in education.  I have taught pre-K, first and third grade.  For 10 years, I worked as a reading specialist with struggling students in grades 1-8.  This is my sixth year serving as the District Reading Specialist for Greeneville City Schools.  If you have questions, comments or concerns regarding the information on the RTI and Reading webpages, please contact me at hydem@gcschools.net.
