Professional Development is a priority in Greeneville City Schools. "Show me any place, any time, that student achievement has improved in the absence of professional development. You can not. There is none." Dr. Thomas Guskey, November 2004 We believe that students learn in a culture where adults are learning. Led by PD Coordinator Robbie Mitchell and a district wide Professional Learning Team, Greeneville City Schools commits ten days of the academic year to differentiated professional learning for all teachers. The system professional development plan includes a path for new teachers, an annual system focus path and an opportunity path - where teachers can customize their own learning. Please look in our Photo Album to see Greeneville teachers at work, at our Calendar to view upcoming opportunities, and PD News to read about job embedded, relevant professional learning going on everyday in every school in our district.
