Are you ready for BYOD?

Greeneville City Schools' Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program, scheduled for full implementation during the 2012-2013 school year, was highlighted in the Summer 2012 edition of the Tennessee School Board Association Journal.  Included in the article was information on the following:  1)  GHS cellular usage; 2) infrastructure requirements; 3) Citrix virtualization role; 4) development of use policies; and 5) EastView Elementary School's pilot program during the 2011-2012 school year.

The major goal of the Greeneville City Schools' BYOD Project, according to the article, is to "discover ways to provide devices to students that do not have access to any sort of technology that can be used at school." The entire article may be accessed through the link at the right.
