The FSC is a support agency of the Greeneville City Schools
The Family Support Center recruits and networks community and volunteer service agencies to assist or provide services to students and families; develops and implements effective family involvement strategies and activities; works closely with families to ensure that needed services are identified and provided; and provides information for families about resources and support that includes but is not limited to education, targeted prevention, meeting basic needs, crisis intervention, and benefits available in the school system and/or community.
We “stand in the gap”- of any barrier that will prevent a child from achieving educational success --- building a bridge. Services and or assistance is not limited to, but may include: serving as a liaison between school and family; home visitation; school attendance and truancy; assisting with basic needs such as food, clothing, house hold supplies, school supplies; healthcare/vision/dental assistance; agency referrals; and providing opportunities for community and parent engagement through volunteering and learning sessions.
The Family Support Center is centrally located at the George Clem Building on Floral Street and provides services to all Greeneville City Schools.
Students of or a family member of the Greeneville City School System.
Families/Students receiving services should attend the Greeneville City School System. However, we do not send anyone away that is in need of assistance. If we cannot assist the family/student, we connect them with other agencies and resources.
