Mr. Jeff Townsley is currently the district Chief Student Services Officer, a role he has held for 10 years. Prior to his central office appointment, Mr. Townsley was a successful assistant principal at Greeneville Middle School. He is respected throughout the district and is trusted by his colleagues. Mr. Steve Starnes, Director of Schools, stated, “I am confident in Mr. Townsley’s leadership and in his ability to support and serve the students and educators at GHS in the manner in which they are accustomed and deserve.”
The GHS Principal position is now posted on the district web site. A team of stakeholders will be involved in the interview and hiring of the new principal at GHS. The process will be strategic and deliberate with an unwavering commitment to selecting the best leader for this exceptional school.
