On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act was signed into law. The plan included Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds to help state educational agencies and school districts safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools, as well as address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on students. Greeneville City Schools received funds from the ESSER program.
